CY 2020-2024 Compendium of SWD Statistics

The Compendium of DSWD and Selected Social Welfare and Development (SWD) Statistics presents a comprehensive overview of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s major programs and projects, along with the corresponding physical and financial accomplishment rates by Organizational Outcome and by region from Calendar Year (CY) 2019 to 2023. It also includes data on clients served in DSWD residential care facilities and through community-based services during the same period, as well as other relevant SWD statistics utilized by the Department.

This Compendium serves as a key reference material for researchers, statisticians, planners, policymakers, and legislators. It is intended to support evidence-based and participatory planning processes by providing accessible, accurate, and relevant statistical data.

For context, Organizational Outcomes (OOs) refer to the intended changes in the lives, behaviors, or capacities of clients—whether as direct beneficiaries or intermediaries—as a result of the Department’s interventions. These outcomes are achieved through the delivery of the DSWD’s major outputs, which consist of the public goods and services mandated to be provided to external clients. These outputs, in turn, are realized through the Department’s core operations and strategic initiatives, collectively referred to as influence activities.

It is important to note that while five (5) Organizational Outcomes are discussed in Chapter 1, the outputs contributing to these outcomes are not mutually exclusive. Rather, they function interdependently to support the achievement of the Department’s overall mission and goals.
