Social Welfare and Development (SWD) Journal CY 2024
This issue features five significant studies, produced through collaborative efforts from the Department’s Central Office and Field Offices.
- Easing Social Welfare Service Delivery Through Digitalization Strategies: This study aimed at addressing challenges faced by the DSWD in delivering social protection services. The proposed architectural model was designed to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and inclusivity of social protection programs through dynamic updating, secure interoperability with the existing national system, and comprehensive data analytics.
- Sustainable Livelihood Program Participants – Economic Relief Subsidy (SLP-ERS) Post Distribution Monitoring Survey Report 2023: The SLP-ERS aimed to assist micro-retailers in covering operational costs and investing in necessary improvements to recover losses. The survey seeks to assess the effectiveness and impact of the subsidy on the beneficiaries’ livelihoods. Furthermore, it identifies issues or challenges faced by program implementers and the beneficiaries in utilizing the subsidy, for future planning.
- Assessment of the Effectiveness of the DSWD Targeting System on the Livelihood Assistance Grants during the COVID-19 Pandemic from March 2020-December 2021: The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of SLP-LAG targeting system In Cagayan de Oro City.
- KALAHI-CIDSS-NCDDP FO VII Through Workforce Analysis: An Integrative Inspection of Job and Non-Job Factors: The study aimed to assess the 2-factor (Job and non-job related factors) job performance model of the Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan National Community Driven Development Program using a mixed method design.
- Rapid Assessment of Medical Assistance to Beneficiaries of Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situation (AICS): The study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the AICS program focusing on the medical assistance aspect, through a mixed-method approach.
